Guy studies Economics at Manchester University and joined KPMG in 1999. Guy qualified as a chartered accountant in 2002 and moved to Australia to work for KPMG’s Brisbane office for 2.5 years in 2003. Whilst in Australia, Guy also had the opportunity to work in Hong Kong and Papa New Guinea. On returning to the KPMG UK, Guy worked in Mergers and Acquisitions before establishing KPMG’s regional debt advisory business in 2009. Guy now leads KPMG’s debt advisory business in the North West advising clients on raising debt funding including Betfred, Warburtons, MPM Petfoods and INEOS.
Between 2007 and 2015, Guy led KPMG’s Partnership of Manchester based Olympic team GB taekwondo. In that time Guy supported the sport on governance, securing funding and developing a world class training facility in Newton Heath. Highlights of the relationship for Guy was being with the team when they won their first gold medal at the London 2012 Olympics and going to meet the Queen with double gold medallist Jade Jones.
Guy also leads KPMG’s technology team in Manchester and actively supports the tech sector in the region. Guy launched his own technology business called introstream.com in 2017 to help companies connect with technology solutions.
Outside of work, Guy is a keen runner and Treasurer of Chorlton Runners which has over 3,000 members on facebook and is becoming one of the largest volunteer running clubs in the country
